{"id":946,"date":"2017-02-24T15:30:27","date_gmt":"2017-02-24T15:30:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dptlab.com\/focus-on-concurrent-engineering\/"},"modified":"2017-12-06T14:10:14","modified_gmt":"2017-12-06T14:10:14","slug":"focus-on-concurrent-engineering","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dptlab.com\/it\/focus-on-concurrent-engineering\/","title":{"rendered":"Focus On: Concurrent Engineering"},"content":{"rendered":"<h4><em>L\u2019approfondimento di questo mese \u00e8 a cura del nostro PLM Marketing Manager, che nell\u2019ambito di una serie di articoli divulgativi relativi alle problematiche del Product Lifecycle Management, tratta il tema \u201ccome ridurre i tempi di messa sul mercato di un prodotto facendo pi\u00f9 cose contemporaneamente\u201d ovvero \u201ccome ridurre il time to market attraverso il Concurrent Engineering\u201d.<\/em><\/h4>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>All\u2019inizio della mia attivit\u00e0 professionale, partecipando ad a un seminario relativo all\u2019ottimizzazione dei processi aziendali, mi colp\u00ec particolarmente un dato che potrei riassumere cosi:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>uno sfondamento del 50% dei costi di sviluppo di un prodotto, ne impatta la profittabilit\u00e0 per il 3%;<\/li>\n<li>uno sfondamento di 6 mesi dei tempi di sviluppo di un prodotto, ne impatta la profittabilit\u00e0 per il 32%.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>All\u2019epoca pensai che questo dato eclatante valesse solo per le grosse multinazionali americane presso il quale era stato misurato (la fonte dei dati era Hewlett Packard), ma nel tempo ho avuto modo di riscontrare che \u00e8 plausibile, se non addirittura conservativo, anche per la PMI manifatturiera italiana, per la quali \u201carrivare in ritardo\u201d con un prodotto ha un impatto significativo SOLO sulla profittabilit\u00e0 nella migliore delle ipotesi, in quanto molto spesso comporta anche il rischio di perdere il cliente, di non aggiudicarsi una commessa, di pagare penali e addirittura perdere quote di mercato.<\/p>\n<p>Ci\u00f2 premesso, come \u00e8 possibile riuscire a ridurre il tempo che intercorre tra l\u2019ideazione e la messa sul mercato di un prodotto? Oppure, nel caso di prodotti speciali realizzati su commessa, come \u00e8 possibile riuscire a ridurre il tempo che intercorre tra il primo contatto con un cliente e la consegna della commessa stessa?<\/p>\n<p>Istintivamente si pensa che per ridurre il <em>time to market<\/em> sia sufficiente aumentare la produttivit\u00e0 e l\u2019efficienza, magari con l\u2019introduzione in azienda di sofisticate macchine automatiche, oppure dotandosi di sistemi informatici innovativi, o ancora aumentando le risorse umane, eccetera eccetera.<\/p>\n<p>Si tratta di soluzioni senz\u2019altro praticabili, ma decisamente onerose. C\u2019\u00e8 tuttavia la possibilit\u00e0 di adottare una \u201ctecnica\u201d che permette di ridurre notevolmente il <em>time to market<\/em>, senza grossi investimenti, al solo prezzo della riorganizzazione di qualche processo aziendale, magari ottimizzandolo e migliorandone la sicurezza attraverso un PLM.<\/p>\n<p>Gli anglosassoni chiamano questa tecnica \u201cConcurrent Engineering\u201d, che potrebbe essere tradotto in parole povere come \u201cfare cose contemporaneamente\u201d e che vorrei esemplificare con questo schema:<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-679\" src=\"https:\/\/dptlab.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/1.1_Concurrent_Engineering-e1496746144295.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"632\" height=\"266\" srcset=\"https:\/\/dptlab.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/1.1_Concurrent_Engineering-e1496746144295.png 632w, https:\/\/dptlab.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/1.1_Concurrent_Engineering-e1496746144295-300x126.png 300w, https:\/\/dptlab.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/1.1_Concurrent_Engineering-e1496746144295-260x109.png 260w, https:\/\/dptlab.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/1.1_Concurrent_Engineering-e1496746144295-50x21.png 50w, https:\/\/dptlab.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/1.1_Concurrent_Engineering-e1496746144295-150x63.png 150w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width:767px) 480px, 632px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Quello raffigurato \u00e8 un tipico processo sequenziale: ogni attivit\u00e0 parte quando la precedente \u00e8 terminata; il livello di conoscenza delle informazioni di progetto riparte da zero per ogni attivit\u00e0 (in quanto coinvolgono persone diverse). Essenzialmente perch\u00e8 nella realt\u00e0 spesso le informazioni non sono disponibili quando servirebbero; soprattutto, nella pratica, \u00e8 difficile essere sicuri di stare operando su informazioni attendibili, quando esse sono ancora in via di completamento da parte di terzi.<\/p>\n<p>Ecco dove pu\u00f2 opportunamente intervenire un buon sistema PLM per l\u2019applicazione del Concurrent Engineering. Grazie all\u2019implementazione di un buon sistema PLM:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>le informazioni sono disponibili in tempo reale a tutte le persone coinvolte nei vari processi;<\/li>\n<li>attraverso sistemi di firma elettronica e workflow le informazioni vengono distribuite solo quando sono validate e c\u2019\u00e8 la sicurezza che siano esatte;<\/li>\n<li>la circolazione delle informazioni \u00e8 favorita da una banca dati della conoscenza accessibile in modo semplice e sicuro;<\/li>\n<li>il paradigma \u201caspetto che mi forniscano le informazioni\u201d viene modificato in \u201cposso accedere alle informazioni con la sicurezza di vedere solo quello che mi interessa\u201d.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Ma in cosa consiste un \u201cbuon sistema\u201d PLM? In DPT abbiamo le idee molto chiare al riguardo e in una delle prossime newsletter le condivideremo con voi molto
